Many people get hurt playing sports. A teammate on our volleyball team this past 2 weeks had to sit out of practices and games because of a sports injury. She twisted her left knee.

Some ways to prevent a sports injury like hers include a few simple steps.
- Before a game or practice be sure to stretch your back, legs, arms, and hands. Also make sure that you run.
- Drink plenty of water before and after a game.
- Get plenty of sleep. That means to go to bed early and not late.
- Do simple exercises to prevent pulling a muscle or breaking a bone.
